A pair of houses perched on and formed by a steep site

This project involves the design of two spec houses to be sited at the base of a steeply sloped lot, with views overlooking the Cascade Mountain Range. Conceptual model studies investigate the formal relationships between the two structures, and the resulting exterior spatial conditions. The design considers the two houses as separate but related entities, with the architectural language from the first house quoted and continued in the second.
