A rammed earth residence in the reserva.

Casa M is a single family retreat located on a secluded property within the mountains west of Mexico City. Inspired by the work of Barcelona-based architect Josep Coderch, the floor of the house gradually slopes upwards with the slope of the site. A series of staggered rammed earth walls establish a diagonal spatial narrative that leads inhabitants to private sleeping spaces. A horizontal roof of timber and steel framing shelters the rammed earth walls from heavy rains, while framing views of the broad landscape beyond.
