Lightwells announce and illuminate a series of pools

RHA was invited by The Miller Hull Partnership to assist on the design for a large mixed-use resort in the Zhejiang province of southeastern China. The project was to be located along a reservoir near the City of Lishui, located in the mountainous region south of Shanghai and Beijing. RHA was asked to design the 250-unit hotel for the project, as well as the adjoining swimming pavilion. 

The design for the swimming pavilion utilizes three skylight monitors in varying configurations and sizes to provide light to the entrance and pool deck below. The lightwells also serve to announce the public nature of the building.
