Careful interventions within a wood framework.

This renovation centered around celebrating the rigor and materiality of the existing Mercer Island home, designed by Dan Calvin in the 1960’s. Interventions are carefully located within the rhythm of exposed wood framing. Updates to the kitchen, dining, and upstairs areas allow for a better indoor-outdoor connection while maintaining the open-air and dramatic sectional quality of the vaulted spaces.
