RHA is nearing completion of construction for a 7-unit townhome development in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle. The site is located at the intersection of Allison St E and E Fairview Ave, in the northern portion of the Eastlake neighborhood, fronting and overlooking Lake Union and Gasworks Park. The convenient urban location is an easy walk to the University of Washington campus, Eastlake business and restaurants, and a quick bike or bus ride to South Lake Union and downtown Seattle. Located on two NC2-55 (M) zoned lots, the project is being permitted as two independent projects (4 rear units and 3 front units). All units feature a reverse floor plan with living levels on the top floor, and private roof decks. The sloped site allows the rear units to have views of the lake overlooking the front units. All of the units have a ground floor flex space with separate entrance, which can be separated from the upper floor levels, allowing for additional rental income possibilities. Primary access to the rear units is via a quiet gated courtyard. Primary access to the front units is via Fairview Ave E. The larger north front unit includes a small ground floor commercial space fronting Fairview Ave E. The exterior material palette includes low maintenance corrugated metal siding with wood accents. Interiors are highlighted with exposed wood floor framing throughout all levels.
