A house perched among the trees.

Set within the Bridle Trails neighborhood of Bellevue, Hug House utilizes two oblique wings to create a welcoming courtyard, drawing residents and guests into the home. The steep slope of the property requires careful siting of the residence to maintain backyard access, while maximizing views to the south from the ground floor. The central main floor level opens on both sides, allowing the front courtyard and backyard treescape to blend with the interior living and dining spaces. Private bedrooms are linearly arranged on the second floor, each with a view back towards the forest.
