A proposal to dismantle, relocate, and reassemble a timber grain silo

Taiji Miyasaka was led to this grain silo by Jeff Williams, who owns a timber salvage company. Williams salvaged the roof of the silo, but realized there was no way to salvage the complicated timber construction that comprised the 'drum' of the silo. Miyasaka and Hutchison investigated ways to dismantle the silo, with the idea of re-assembling it in another location for use as a public structure. Mother Nature had other plans. Late one night, 100 mph wind storms destroyed the silo.
