The bridge supports the obvious role of carrying vehicular traffic, while enhancing the pedestrian’s experience of an endangered estuary. Stress-laminated wood technology inspired the use of yellow cedar timbers to serve the multiple purposes of structural deck system, guardrail separation, and overhead trellis.
